DOC 2012: 1st announcement

The Organizing Committee kindly invites you to take part in 8th Young Scientist Conference "Developments in Optics and Communications 2012" which will be held 12-14 April in Riga, Latvia. It will be organized jointly by University of Latvia SPIE Student Chapter (ULSPIE), OSA Latvian Student Chapter (OSAL) and ISSP student and young scientist society.

Scope
The purpose of the conference is to bring together young scientists (students) working experimentally and theoretically in the fields of optics and photonics to share and exchange new ideas and to establish contacts for future collaboration. Also we encourage students of physics to first time present their BSc, MSc or PhD thesis.

Submission of abstracts
Authors should submit the abstracts not exceeding one page and fitting to the needs for publishing in the Book of Abstracts. The format is A4, (210 x 297 mm); all margins 2.5 cm; font – Times New Roman; title – Bold, All Caps, 14p; text -12p. Language is English. The abstracts may contain graphical results that support the written arguments. Book of Abstracts will be available as a handout during the Conference. The template for abstracts please find at the home page of the Conference. Abstract should be attached to registration form.
