On behalf of SPIE and OSA student chapters from the University of Latvia we are pleased to announce that the abstract submissions for the 12th International young scientist conference “Developments in Optics and Communications 2016” held in Riga from 21st to 23rd of March, 2016 is now open and abstracts will be accepted up until 25th of January.
As every year you will have a great opportunity to meet other students and young scientists working in the research field of optics and photonics, share your ideas and experiences as well as establish contacts for future collaborations.
We would like to encourage you to contribute with a talk or a poster presentation relevant to the conference topics:
● Biophotonics;
● Laser physics and spectroscopy;
● Optical materials and phenomena;
● Optics in communication;
● Vision science.
The deadline for abstract submissionsis 25th of January, 2016. We remind you that the official language of this conference is English.
It is possible to apply for a financial support to cover your accommodation expenses. If you wish to
apply, please contact the organisers at info@docriga.lv. The deadline for financial support applications is 30th of January, 2016.
If you need a visa to enter Latvia, please contact the organising committee before 30th of
January, 2016.
