Single neuron imaging with diamonds

Investigation of the working principles and interaction mechanisms of neurons is of profound interest to the science community at large since they make up the brain, and the brain is a great thing to have (an opinion expressed by the brain itself). There already exist various techniques to monitor the brain activity but most of them either work in the macro-scale (f-MRI) or are not scalable [1] narrowing the range of possible applications.
